Our next book selection in the KCCC Virtual Book Club series is An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz.

As climbers, we may find ourselves traversing the country to climb, spending a lot of time in nature. These lands sustained indigenous peoples for thousands of years, before the colonization & genocide by white settlers. To be conscientious inhabitants of this land, we can begin by understanding the history of the places we climb and live.

An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States delivers a comprehensive history of the US through an indigenous lens.

To participate, RSVP to Emily at She’ll send you the Zoom link for our first meeting! Feel free to email her any questions you may have before the first meeting.
